Senate Turncoats: Bipartisan Fraud

Posted by revkharma on February 7, 2009

In this most important battle, early in the regime or the Great and Powerful Obama the House held firm. the Hag from San Fran, while repeating  over and over the need for “bipartisanship” rammed the ‘Stimulus plan’ through, without a single vote from the minority party, and more importantly, with absolutely no consultation nor input from the  Elephant party.

As things moved to the Senate, all that would be needed is all of the Elephants there to show the same courage and convictions their House counterparts managed to display. It looked pretty well a done deal. Even several Donkeys in the senate wavered, realizing the incredible change this bill will inflict in the economy.

Ahh, but what happened at the last minute? Arlen Spector , Susan Collins, and Olympia Snow, repeated offenders in the ” moderate” camp gave some political cover to Harry Reid to enable him to weep with joy at the great Bipartisan compromise. Sure, a compromise. Instead of  saying they will spend $900 Billion, they ‘pared it to the bone’ and will ‘ONLY” spend around $827 Billion. No matter how you pretty this mess, interest and additional expenses  will result in a single bill from Congress hosing the American taxpaying public for more than a  TRILLION DOLLARS!  Twelve zeros folks.  In one bill the Great and Powerful Obama can match the ENTIRE deficit from the last budget.  Note that even the Congressional Budget Office has stated this bill will result in long term damage to and reduction in the GDP. In effect they have said that doing NOTHING is preferable to passing this bill!

President Obama’s economic recovery package will actually hurt the economy more in the long run than if he were to do nothing, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said Wednesday.

CBO, the official scorekeepers for legislation, said the House and Senate bills will help in the short term but result in so much government debt that within a few years they would crowd out private investment, actually leading to a lower Gross Domestic Product over the next 10 years than if the government had done nothing.

I for one am so tired of Specter, running as a “conservative” and doing things like voting during the Clinton impeachment ” Pursuant to Scottish law”.  He is a disgraceful political whore who merely acts to gain accolades from the media and maintain his perch in the US senate. My intent is to communicate with his office and explain that I will make whatever legal contributions I can to whoever opposes him in primary and/or general elections. Should he succeed in getting nominated again I will contribute to the campaign of his opponent, regardless of party. If I were a resident of the state of Pennsylvania my vote would be cast against him. Even South Carolina’s Lindsey Graham could not swallow this load of garbage. He did not participate in this ‘Bipartisan’ giveaway. Now is the time folks. Call, fax, e-mail. Let these Lords of the Manor know that this is not the way Americans want their government run! Time is running out on The Republic, and we need to work to salvage what we can. (Or push it over the cliff into the rubbish heap and begin all over again!)

Keep the Faith!

The Rev.
