Questions That Need To Be Asked

Posted by revkharma on November 9, 2014

We have seen a new name floated for AG, Loretta Lynch is a prosecutor from NY.

Without question, she will be biased and partisan. That is part of the deal with this administration.
A few questions should be asked, in my opinion.
1. Do you support the current goals and plans to administratively refuse to prosecute immigration crimes, and will you support executive amnesty?
2. How will your deep ties to the Clinton Administration and your representation of Bill and Hillary Clinton during the Whitewater investigations affect your objectivity?
3. If presented with information and evidence which implicates those who preceded you in this office in potentially illegal or unconstitutional acts during the gun walking, or IRS investigations would you be willing to prosecute such former administration actors?
4. Will you state now, for the record, that you support a fair and neutral application and interpretation of EEOC and 14th amendment issues, and agree to follow truly race blind policies and practices while conducting the business of the United States as Attorney General?
5. What is your position on and interpretation on the Second Amendment?
======================
Think anyone in either party would have the C O Jones to ask those questions during confirmation hearings?
If so, think there is a chance in hell of getting any of them answered?

All the News That Isn’t

Posted by revkharma on March 23, 2012

I know, it’s a familiar title, and not original.
this week in France, a Muslim terrorist attacked and killed jews, in he name of his religion.
He killed several elite french military men, and using a gun, held police at bay for hours, eventually jumping to his death, while continuing to shoot at the police who could not capture him.
Several things
first, all the major nets covered other stories first.
Why?
Let’s look—
Muslim terrorist Can’t say that.
he used a gun.. They are supposed to be banned, thus unavailable in France, how’d that happen?
Third, he killed Jews… Thought they were the persecutors not victims. supposed to be running the world… not hunted and killed.
And he was a TERRORIST… Thought we were done with that.
Can’t shake up the fat happy sheep watching wheel of fortune and “the voice’ on their big screen Tv while cashing their second year of unemployment checks.

No way will the big shots in charge allow anything to shake these fat blobs of gelatinous lipids from their torpor. They might just fire up a dormant neuron long enough to understand they are being misled, and maybe one or two percent of them might actually resist their slavery.

Seals and Terrorists

Posted by revkharma on November 30, 2009

I am sure you’ve read much about the Navy Seals being tossed overboard after a complaint from a captured terrorist.

{Editors note from Rev:Let me preface all this as speculation and guess  work, combined with some stuff I have heard from others. I have never been in any branch of the  military, and will not even begin to pretend to understand the stress these heroic people are undergoing. I have read much discussed much, and think I have a common sense understanding of much of what is happening.

I would also like to ask a favor from readers. Some of you are a bit more experienced and knowledgeable in all this than I am. If someone has information relevant to this, which supports or refutes what I have begun to put together, please let me know.  A comment will be read, and replied to, and anything with verifiable info will be greatly appreciated. What I see happening is disgusting and dangerous. This needs to be brought from the shadows and into the light of day one way or another. Thanks– The Rev.}

With some digging, and listening, some things have come to my attention.
First, this is standard practice for the bad guys. There is a physical manual which details ways to file complaints against American soldiers who capture, imprison, interrogate or transport Al Qaeda captives. It is a frequent event that once placed into a transport truck that said bad guy will attempt to slam his own face into the walls or sides of the truck in order to induce injuries which they will later claim were ‘torture’ induced. Another tactic is to jump from the moving vehicle, once again to induce physical injuries.

Also the steps of discipline when a complaint is filed are pretty solidly laid out. The Chief is first consulted, then the unit command and so on up the chain. If these guys were referred to Admiral’s Mast then one of two things are apparent.
First, what they did was wrong and blatantly violated some order or procedure, and/or someone demonstrably lied to an investigator. I am told that Seal teams respect and revere integrity, and if it comes to it, they will take the honorable course and admit.
Second possibility is that someone way up the chain moved this to Admiral’s Mast.  This is the most insidious rumor I have heard. There is some speculation that this is a pay back. Recall the pirate ship rescue, in which the Seals took out the bad guys and rescued the captive American Captain and his crew?
The story floating up is that someone on the Seal Team actually fired against ‘ROE’  in place at the time. As the end was immediately portrayed as heroic, the public face was that CinC changed orders, and directed the action, even giving the order to pull the trigger.
As there was no way to actually punish that team, admin staffers were waiting for an excuse to exact retribution against the Seals, ANY Seals, where an example could be made. This was the opportunity That’s why the process was short circuited and moved directly to Admiral’s mast.
By refusing to participate in Admiral’s Mast, which has incorrectly been described as a ‘slap on the wrist’ and requesting Court Martial, these Seals can avail themselves of all legal means to defend their actions. The ‘slap on the wrist’ provided by an Admiral’s Mast  often ends the career of those who are slapped.
It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

End of Empire

Posted by revkharma on June 30, 2009

For nearly fifty years there were two competing empires in the world, with dramatically different worldviews. The Soviet Empire was bent on forcible domination, imposing a Marxist-socialist state on every nation. The American Empire was determined to export it’s worldview of state sponsored capitalism and nominally democratic government systems installed to replace  whatever previous system was in place.

The competition eventually ground down the Soviet system, which collapsed in the late 1980’s and early 1990’s. Many of the international supporters of that system migrated to various other political activities, notably environmentalism. During the last decade there has been somewhat of a resurgence of state sponsored socialism in the western hemisphere, particularly in Latin America.  Originally backed by Castro’s Cuba, then funded by the petrodollars of Hugo Chavez’s Venezuela, the movement has sought to blunt the strength of the American influence in the region.

Months ago, while George W. Bush was still president, I sat and mused one night about how the opponents of America could move steadily to bring about the collapse of the American Empire.  I was reading through some old writings and came across this piece, which I never posted.  It seems to be pretty appropriate to our current situation.

For what it’s worth, here’s my musings from last October, 2008

#############################################

Ok, so let’s look at some things.

Let’s suppose one wishes to work now to undermine what remains of the USA (empire) after the collapse of the Soviet empire.

What are the weak points, where are the choke points.

Well, as we move from the late 1980’s forward, one clear thing emerges. People are led by ‘popular opinion’. The new god of America is the mythical “Democracy”. Recall how when the Chinese students protested against their autocratic rulers, they gained credibility with the west by erecting a small version of the Statue of Liberty. Only as you may remember, it was called the “goddess of Democracy”. This was the elevation of the concept which began with Wilson, of the USA as the bringer of Democracy to the world. Gradually we saw the replacement of references to the USA as “the Republic” with the fetishization of Democracy as the goal of everything. Now, those bent on replacing the constitutional system of the republic with a dictatorship need to gain the acceptance of the people. Mass communication, led by the emergence of the 24r hour cable news outlets drives mass hysteria. Social engineers can see that constant polls, reported as news over and over will tend to push public opinion rather than reflect it.  Recall the term used during the last several political campaigns of “Push Polling”. By routinely suggesting ideas, the mass media can drive perception.

Now, watch the last few years of reporting. After a terrorist attack on the USA, our military moves with lightning speed, and accomplished unprecedented deeds in theater after theater. Afghanistan was quieted, despite cries that we would fall victim, just as “the British in the 1800’s and the Soviets in the 1980’s”. Once that failed to play out, the media simply went quiet on the story. Then in Iraq, as the military campaign rolled up victory and success again and again, the individual behavior of some soldiers was distorted, and then portrayed as a ‘standard policy of evil’ enacted by a ‘rogue administration’. While the Bush administration worked around this, the press stole and published military documents, and praised such acts, previously (and quite accurately) described as treason.

When this too failed to deter, then the shibboleth of “world opinion’ was trotted out to bash the Americans. Nation after nation was presented as opposed to America. As the nations saw the results of ignoring the peril; riots in France, murder in Holland, bombs in Spain, ’honor killings’ all over the world, elections turned out the presumed left leaning governments, replacing them with center-right, pro American leadership.

However, ‘public opinion’ in the US was growing increasingly opposed to the policies of a successful government, as the media continued to tell gullible consumers of ‘news’ that what they saw was not reality.

The economy was continuing an unprecedented growth string, interrupted only by the infamous ‘dot com’ bubble and a brief hiccup following the 9-11 attacks.

However, surveys showed that as the party out of power and it’s craven allies in the media shouted once again that facts were not so, and reality was malleable, that opinion was moved against truth. A generation raised on situational ethics, believing that there is no fixed viewpoint of right and wrong could not argue against such illogic.

Despite strong economy, jobless rates at or below 5%, low inflation, and continued increase in annual GDP figures, elections were moved by screams of ‘the worst economy in a generation’.

Now that everyone believes that the economy is in the tank, it will follow. After all, much of the interconnected global economy is lubricated by confidence. Removing that confidence is the equivalent of sand in the gears. The result is the small road bump created by the sub prime mortgage fiasco becoming a sink-hole that sucks the American economy into a pit. Those who wished to replace a free market system with a centralized, socialist command economy simply needed to control the media outlets and those drivers of public opinion.

Fast forward as the US government, in the face of economic panic, and global pressure to stop what is increasingly beginning to be called a US contagion to the global economy, must accede to and embrace international controls on economics.

As the economy stumbles from blow upon blow, a single, small added pressure can then bring about vastly greater leveraged results.

Imagine the result, of the following scenario:

After the election of a leftist president, accompanied by a sympathetic congress, the US government begins to concentrate economic control in Washington. The economy continues to stagger along, with blame heaped on the evil capitalists, and robber barons of industry.

Somewhere in the world, perhaps in England or France, is a spectacular terrorist attack, perhaps the destruction of Trafalgar square in London, or the collapse of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris.

Taking this as a cue, the media in the US decry the culture of individuality and guns in America. Emergency powers are granted and gun confiscation begins. As the economy continues to collapse, Americans now more resentful than ever of the ‘over class’ of industry and government, stage insurrections and acts of resistance. In a rapid and accelerating pace, this action spreads across the nation.

The US government, now nearly bankrupt simply has neither the resources, nor the loyalty if it’s citizens to stop the disintegration of the country into warring factions.

We will see the dissolution of the USA into many, perhaps dozens of fractured republics, fiefdoms and warring enclaves. As the central engine of free market economics and free government disappears, socialist regimes expand power, and are subsequently subsumed by surging Muslim majorities in nation after nation.

The USA will not need to be conquered by Islam. The virus of socialism will rot the nation from its inside out, making the destruction of The Great Satan a moot point, made irrelevant by history and events.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

For now, this is purely conjecture. For now. But tell me just how much of it you think is not probable. Tell me the flaw, please, show me that none of this is remotely possible. Because it’s a nightmare scenario that is likely to become a waking nightmare for all of us.

The Corrupting Power Of Incumbency

Posted by revkharma on May 7, 2009

During the debate and discussion of Arlen Specter’s self serving party switch, some numbers jumped out at me. First, we heard Senator Specter reassuring his constituents in Pennsylvania that even as he changed parties he would still be able to  ‘look out for their interests’ as he had such seniority. Specter first took a seat in the US Senate in 1980. Each time he was reelected, he gained more and more seniority. Seniority is the grease of the US Congress. the longer you serve, the more you accumulate power and prestige.  That is why Specter switched and then announced he had been assured he would keep his seniority.

That is also why when the Democrat party took a vote, the current senior Democrats voted to keep the seniority the way it was, and demoted the party switcher to the status of freshman. The Dems got what they wanted: numerical superiority. They now need to squeeze the turncoat so he will toe the party line. After the commitee assignments were named there was a moment of pure coincidence.  Senator Jeff Sessions, of Alabama was moved to the position of Ranking Member of the judiciary committee.  Arlen Specter was the previous occupant of that slot. Also on the committee was Joe Biden, who ironically helped to torpedo the nomination of Sessions to a federal court appointment in 1986. Biden had first been elected to the senate in 1972.

Think of those numbers.  These people have been in government the majority of their adult lives. Yet again and again they campaign as ‘ friend of the little guy’!  Or insist that ‘ I’m working for YOU!’  Over and over in campaign ads.  No one who has worked in the rarified atmosphere of the United States Congress for 20 or 30 years can possibly have more than a remote understanding of the life of ordinary Americans.  That’s why they work so hard to build incentives to reelection of incumbents. Gerrymandered districts are drawn and redrawn to ensure the club stays together. Members have their own insurance, and retirement and vast arrays of perks that most people could only dream of. They are essentially taken care of at taxpayer expense twenty four hours a day. They have private police, security, facilities, and benefits which insulate them from the rest of the world.

Critical to any changes, any attempt to control the bloated Leviathan in DC is eliminating such seniority. As long as members can have a life time job they will have little accountability. They will play the charade of arguing party platforms, but in the end, the only goal is preservation of the system as it exists. And make no mistake, they have rigged the system so it caters to them instead of the people of America. Elections are bought and sold with pork projects. Things like Alaska Senator Stevens’ now famous ‘Bridge to Nowhere’. Or look to John Murtha’s steering of more than $200 million to an airport that serves roughly TWENTY passengers per day.

These two examples are merely two obvious perversions of government which are products of the insidious system of incumbency and seniority. We will be unable to change the direction of government until we can stop that. Term limits are essential to the return of government to the people of the nation.

Bowing to Princes; Surrendering to Pirates

Posted by revkharma on April 10, 2009

Last week we saw the amazing and disturbing spectacle of a US President bowing down to a foreign prince. After several days the White House press office has issued a silly denial, and stood behind it even as just about any observer can tell the facts by watching.

We then had the follow up message. President Obama declined an invitation from French President Sarkozy to come to France and visit Normandy and Omaha Beach, the historic sites which showed the world that America is a nation which will sacrifice all in order to secure liberty. President Obama declined the invitation. Something about logistics. He would instead head to Turkey and there make a different kind of statement.

In Turkey President Obama praised Islam, assuring his listeners that we are not at war with Islam. He praised the historical achievements and gifts to the world from Islam. He praised Turkey and it’s commitment to the vision of Attaturk for a secular state. Further he apologized for the various historical mistakes made by the USA. The government to which he has addressed these words is now dominated by a party which seeks the return of Sharia law ad the implementation of an Islamic state in Turkey. The very principles which Mr. Obama praised them for are repudiated and reviled within the nation he so willingly prostrated himself and apologized to. President Obama seems not to find any foreign prince too extreme that he is unwilling to bow before.

This is contemporaneous with a couple of interesting events. While on his world tour of acclamation, Obama was confronted with another in the string of provocations by the North Koreans. Remember them? We have made nice, worked within a multilateral framework and engaged diplomatically to help solve a crisis. This has worked out so well that now not only does Comrade Kim have nuclear weapons, but is testing delivery systems. No one dared confront him. Not a single world power would do anything other than say appeasing words. The nutso leader of a starving nation told us that if we did anything to make him mad (oops angry—he’s already mad) he would take it as an act of war. So we acquiesced, and let him do as he pleased. Once more we bowed before a foreign ruler.

Then we had, for the first time in several hundred hears, pirates seized control of a US flagged merchant ship. If you recall history, this was the very reason for the creation of the United States Navy. In fact, it was at the very same locale. (From the Halls of Montezuma to the Shores of Tripoli…)

Following on the stunning and breathtaking show of force in the Korean theater, we responded in similar fashion. The crew of the ship managed to overpower the pirates, but they left with the Captain, taking him hostage in a lifeboat.

The United States Navy is now.. “Closely watching” the act ivies of the pirates. There are now reports that other pirates may be heading out to sea to join their brothers to help them. The Navy has responded. Working closely with the defense department, the Secretary of State has called in FBI hostage negotiator teams to assist in discussions to obtain the release of the captain.

“Piracy may be a centuries-old problem but we are working to bring an appropriate 21st century response,” Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton said.

“These people are nothing more than criminals and we are bringing to bear a number of our assets, including naval and FBI, in order to resolve the hostage situation and bring the pirates to justice,” Clinton said

Hmm, wonderful and very vague language. ‘Bring them to justice”. Used to be that pirates were regarded as outside the laws of war, and subject to summary execution. Now we will ‘bring them to justice” Does that mean that they will have Miranda rights read to them? Will they have court appointed lawyers to represent them? Will they have full right of pretrial discovery, allowing them to see the full scope of any and all US military assets in place to defend against the pirates? Oh the scale of this stupidity is breathtaking here.

Captain Phillips is reported to have escaped late at night, jumping overboard, and swimming away. While under the ever protective and watchful eye of the powerful US Navy and FBI, the pirates recaptured him and brought him back on board.  Yes, a very modern approach indeed. President Obama has begun to surrender to just about anyone he has not apologized to already.

The military of the US is ignored, the past historical sacrifice is hidden and put on a back shelf so we can praise those who wish to tell us what to do.

And rather than risk seeming the least bit strong, we negotiate with international pirates, giving them stature and power they can now use to gain even more money and arms with which to attack us.

One of the main roles for the government of the United States is to protect us from foreign threats. Instead, the government in DC is now bringing more and more power to bear to control the domestic population. The economy is being taken over bit by bit. Regulations are proposed to provide ‘financial assistance’ to the newspapers, so long as they surrender their independence.

Domestic spending is spiraling to unimaginable heights.

Meanwhile in the face of clear and present dangers around the world, the Obama Administration is either ‘seeking consensus’ or simply surrendering.

Make no mistake, the very fact that we are negotiating– the Government of the United States of America is negotiating with Somali Pirates—is a surrender to them. We have accepted the premise that we cannot stop them, and now are merely working out official terms of surrender.

What has happened to this once great republic?
