Fascist Enablers in Congress

Rep. Alan Grayson is the primary sponsor of HR 1664. The bill, named the “Pay for Performance” act, was approved by the house, appropriately on April First. The sentiment behind the bill is that it will prevent ‘those who have broken our economy from looting the taxpayers and stuffing the money in their pockets.’ That is what passes for enlightened debate in the congress serving The Great and Powerful Obama.  If this frightening legislation should manage to get through the Senate, and get signed by the American Il Duce, it would grant the executive branch of government, directly through the office of the Treasury Secretary, the power to decide what is excessive compensation and to revoke that pay. Nowhere in the bill is there a definition of ‘excessive’.  The title specifies the following:

H.R.1664 
Title: To amend the executive compensation provisions of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 to prohibit unreasonable and excessive compensation and compensation not based on performance standards. 

Once more, there is no definition. Just what is covered by that phrase “not based on performance standards”?  The vast scope of such ill defined regulations will give unprecedented power to the executive branch of the government.  Rep Grayson ( D Fl) was given essentially all the time needed to answer such questions by Neil Cavuto, and refused to provide any specifics.

The congressman’s knowledge is less than impressive. The problem here is that the herd mentality has clearly taken hold. These dolts in congress see that their poll numbers spike when they play to the masses, and they are as easily led. It is not clear if they are leading or being chased by the mob.  The result is congress surrendering power to an increasingly hungry and powerful executive.  The destination is the concentration of power in the hands of a ruthless administration led by a master manipulator who wants to be our leader for all time.
